Smooth ground edge glass mirror supplied with a metal hanging fitting installed, each mirror is made using modern materials and comes with a safety backing fitted to help prevent splintering in case of an accident. When finished your mirror's hanging fittings are tested for shear strength to more than five times the mirror's weight, the test result is written on the back of the mirror next to the hanger plate or subframe and the number shown next to the two opposing arrows represents the force applied in kilograms.
Hanging Your Mirror:
Your mirror will arrive with suitable hangers attached, in the case of the small to medium size mirrors they will be fitted with a single metal hanger. Our larger mirrors will arrive fitted with an aluminum subframe to which two adjustable hangers will be attached, the adjustable hangers will allow adjustment for getting your mirror level. For all hanging fittings, we recommend the use of plastic wall plugs and screws for solid walls and appropriate expanding plugs for cavity walls. In all instances, the wall fixing must be of adequate size for the weight of the mirror being hung.
Caring for your mirror correctly is important in maintaining its appearance, in order to do this we recommend the following:
*Wash your mirror with a spot of washing up liquid and lukewarm water using a soft cloth or sponge (DO NOT immerse your mirror in water, use chemicals, acids, abrasive pads or cleaners)
dry your mirror with a soft, lint-free towel (DO NOT dry your mirror on heaters or radiators)
